    And emergency sirens of any kind. The number of times a track has had me looking for flashing lights while I’m driving is too goddamn high.

    Sirens and phone alarm clocks as well. The latter gives me PTSD when it’s a weekend and I hear it.

    There’s a 1s clip from a song that sounds exactly like my mother telling my name, with the exact acoustic quality of it being beyond headphones, coming from upstairs.

    As a kid when I was in that basement, it was a mystery. As soon as I moved out, I figured it out.
