It’s gotta be AI, but I can’t say exactly why

Nice, so we can keep making pretty videos of nature long after we destroyed it.

Nature will be for those that can afford it. The rest of us will be able to rent AI dreams of it at exorbitant prices.

Not saying this isn’t AI, but it could also pretty easily be a 3D render as well. The close rocks and flower could be CG assets, with a photo of sky and mountains as the background. It looks very “clean” for AI - the same kind of “clean” that more skilled 3D artists put hours of work into dirtying up for the sake of realism, but rushed or learning artists wouldn’t get right so it looks a bit “off.”

Could be wrong, maybe AI is getting that good at video, but my guess would be that it’s someone’s Blender practice.

edit: one more note as to why your brain says “fake” is that the depth-of-field (basically the blurriness of the foreground and background) isn’t consistent with what a photo would look like. If the rocks that close to the flower were that blurry, the more distant things in the background would be quite a bit more blurry than they are because they’re so much further away.

Good call, definitely could be blender. It would be nice if people tagged their loops appropriately. I’m fine with posting “Look at this cool Blender render”, but don’t want to post “Look at this cool landscape” only to have it be generated one way or another. I’ve already been burned by that
