Crusader-Storm ~!Launching Today!~ 7PM UK Time
Hey Everyone!,
The day has arrived and it’s almost time for the server to come online. There is less than a couple of hours to go before everyone can log in to play. The server will be starting with Phase 0 from launch. Phase 1 will begin on August 2nd. See the bottom of the post for the phase timeline.
Again, I want to give a big thanks to everyone who has already shown interest and support for the server and to those who are already in the Discord. It’s been great to see people interacting there and helping out with testing, sharing addons etc.
As I have posted for the last few weeks, Crusader-Storm is a new server for The Burning Crusade expansion of World of Warcraft Classic using the updated 2.5.3 client which is launching today.
The server is is launching on Tonight, (5th July) at 7PM BST.
Some info on Crusader-Storm:
- Classic Experience with New client: Experience The Burning Crusade as it was back in the day, but running on a version of the 2.5.3 client.
- Phase release plan: At launch, we will be in Phase 0, over the months each content phase will be released. Timeline posted at the bottom of this post.
- Auction House Website view: View items that have been listed in the Auction house directly from the website.
- Server Location: The server’s based in the UK, but players from all over the world are welcome to join.
- Experience Rates: Levels 1-58 are x2 Experience rates, Levels 58-70 are x1 rates.
- Realm Type: The server is highly PvE focused, however PvP mode can be enabled with the /pvp command.
- Compatible addons: Use addons compatible with WoW’s 2.5.3 client to tailor your game interface and gameplay.
- Mounts: Crusader-Storm follows the classic TBC progression. However, we’ve reduced the costs for riding skills and mounts.
- Cross-Faction interactions: Horde or Alliance, we’re all in this together. Enjoy shared Auction House and cross-faction interactions, such as grouping, mailing, trading, guilds and messages.
How to Play on the server?
If you’re interested or you’d like to join, getting started is pretty easy. On the website, visit the “How To Play” link under the “Game Guide” tab on left. This guide will help you create an account, which you’ll use to log into the game client as well as the website.

Feedback changes.
- Experience rates have been changed from x1 to x2 due to being requested. (Levels 1-58 will be at x2 Experience. Levels 58 - 70 will be at x1 to not out level Outlands too quickly.)
- A Dual Spec talent tree vendor has been added, More info and a guide on this will be posted in Discord.
- Guilds are now cross faction for Horde and Alliance.
- Ammo stacks have been increased from 200 to 1000.
