With a global browser market share of over 65%, Google’s Chrome has become the target of criticism and disdain, much like Microsoft’s Internet Explorer once was. Is Chrome facing similar challenges to Internet Explorer (IE) and will this lead to its downfall?
It’s as if I’m reading an article noting that a growing number of people have started to realize that poking themselves in the eye with a sharp stick might not be a good thing after all, and wondering if that might lead to people making the change to generally not poking thmselves in the eyes with sharp sticks.
I guess that’s a good thing, but it seems to miss the more fundamental point…
I think we can agree that Chrome is the new IE, the real question should be, “what will be the new Firefox?”.
I switched to Firefox almost across the board, but because they refuse to support WebSerial, I still need Chrome. Will be interesting to see if anyone can unseat chrome
