I just graduated; someone above me will figure that out.” Then I realize it’s been almost 20 years and I am actually expected to know how databases work and I am one of the most senior in the department. Yes, and that’s true for all world leaders and big corporation’s CEOs as well.
I find this much more likely, and much more scary, than the conspiracy theories.

Yeah, it’s horrible to realise it’s you who are the adult now. But explains why the world is shit.

The good people admit that. The bad people don’t. And the Dunning-Kruger people will confidently tell you they do know what they are doing.
