“wierd” maybe comes from not realizing it’s an exception to the ol’ “i before e” rule. or just accidentally swapping them.

i think I’ve misspelled it “defenitely” or definetely" before but it doesn’t sound like an a at all to me
also the i before e rule is useless, there’s like more exceptions than words that follow it
