Damn, that’s a lot of luck.
Good think lando relied on his skill.
Yep no talent
i love to hate verstappen but there’s only so much one can argue against true brilliance.
Same here.
I also love to hate Ocon, but he’s pretty good in the wet.
Completely agree. He’s a very talented driver. And a bit of a knob.
What is it about the 60s that makes the laps so fast? Did they just switch tires, or get more gas, or it’s the end of the tank so they’re lighter, or what?
Here from the front page with only a passing understanding of F1 👋
There are several reasons
- The car got lighter as the fuel was consumed throughout the race
- It was raining earlier which made the track wet and led to lower grip. Near the end of the race, the track was dryer (still wet but not nearly as wet as earlier in the race) which meant the drivers had more grip.
- The tyres didnt wear much because the rain dropped the track temperature. This meant that the grip increase from the track getting drier was more than the grip lost due to tyre wear allowing the cars to go faster.
This is totally an aside but I didn’t get bullet points at all from your post 🤔 I wonder if that’s a lemmy problem or a sync problem
It’s a sync problem
I guessbecause lemmy-ui (the default UI developed by the Lemmy devs) and Photon (Lemmy client website) and Voyager (Lemmy client app) all show the bullet points properlyI see the bullets in the Connect app as well.
Less fuel in the cars is usually the main one (i.e. they’re lighter), could also be drier conditions and more rubber on the track.
