Windows is a choice too, just like Linux. they compete on a free market. if you choose windows you choose to be harassed, and that’s just the crux of it right? i think recommending switching is valid advice. if many people thought so, Microsoft would immediately make their system more consumer friendly to stop that. that would fix OPs problem too
