I’ve been over FTR since their ‘we got the tag belts and defended em almost never’ run but the pairing with the Outrunners is reinvigorating me I must say.
Seeing Dax near-corpse during their promo popped me.
I like FTR, but the gimmick of “We really like wrestling and we’re really good at it” is practically a trope at this point.
However, having them serve as friends/straight men to the more outlandish Outrunners works well.
It does. Ill say it again, the Outrunners gimmick should not fucking work this well but goddamn these two fine young men are putting every inch of themselves into it and are fuckin’ making it work and goddamn they are over.
They simply embrace the ridiculousness of it, and we’re all in on the joke, which is a recipe for fun.
“The youngest men alive!” is such a wonderfully stupid catchphrase.
