Ok, now I’m confused. Is the creature the Mugato or the Gumato?
IMDB lists it as The Gumato under Cast. Memory Alpha for the episode lists it as The Mugato.

sounds like it morphed during production. They either liked the mispronunciation better, or didn’t care. From wikipedia…
The episode credit title shows “Gumato” as this was the creature’s original name.
