Translation: The AI will show the worker photos of people they will let down if they rage-quit their terrible job.
Capitalism: “Always remember we have hostages”
To be fair, it applied in feudalism too, depending on how important you were.
“Remember, do it for her”
This would make me lose my shit.
It’s almost a veiled threat if you think about it: don’t lose your shit or you won’t be able to provide for your family.
Nice family you have there . . .
I feel this’d make many people begin to associate the sight of their families with the stress of being bollocked for something that isn’t their fault!
Worked a call center in a past life, went crazy because it’s back to back to back calls to hit my numbers. Suddenly there’s time for employees to watch their AI bullshit?? Maybe instead just let people take a walk, use the bathroom, and cool off between calls? Seems a lot easier…
I’d shit in my hands and clap before I’d work in another call centre. I remember one of the managers saying I go the toilet too much, so I told I’d just piss on the desk next time, and it just breezed over him like bullets over the Terminator.
Detecting if your employees are having trouble doesn’t sound that terrible, The issue is that instead of getting them help from another employee they are doing some useless BS.
It seems like this system is designed to limit a corporation’s liability for hostile work environments that are created by a combination of corporate negligence and shitty customers.
Do>!n!<'t for>!get you’re!< her>!e forever!<
I applaud the effort!
It works for me
Really? Must be service specific. Didn’t work on lemm.ee on the Connect app, not sure which is the reason.
There’s a second tweet with more info
I feel stress when my family members call or text me at work, and it feels a lot more cathartic and validating to me to listen to something aggressive like hardcore music as opposed to calm corporate-friendly music. I can’t imagine this doing anything but escalate my stress levels, but I understand it might be different for others.
