Did… Did they let the injured attract more to the blast zone before sending in the next rocket?

The terrible part is that the so called „civilized” part of the world not only doesn’t try to resolve this conflict, but endorses and excuses the side completely ignoring basic human rights and showing hate fueled aggression.

It’s like the allies cheering the ghettos and holocaust if hitler didn’t invade them first.

One one hand I understand turning to faith in that situation but… Does anyone else kinda feel like it’s gross to praise God after witnessing such an atrocity?

I would hope that’s how she meant it, but it still kinda puts a bad taste in my mouth. Some Christians I know have earnestly said similar things in response to tragedy.

Like when I asked one of my friends how he reconciled the idea that everyone who commits suicide goes to hell with the fact that our mutual friend committed suicide… He said God is omnibenevolent so logically him being in hell for eternity is a good thing.

So I wouldn’t be shocked at all if the sentiment behind this lady’s words was the same.

Would you ask for humans to come and help in that situation? Humans are committing the bombings. Humans are sending the weapons. Humans are rationalising all this as in some way ‘acceptable’.

There’s no one else to ask to intercede, except for some kind of higher being. Humans are not helping.

She isn’t asking for help, though. Assuming the translation is accurate and that it’s not a turn of phrase or something, she’s saying current situation God has given her is sufficient.

Like I said, I understand turning to religion in that kind of a situation, but an implicit “thank God” just seems inappropriate.
