He didn’t know what it was about, but he wanted to leave legacy of a fun movie to his children when he was gone (he had already known the diagnosis at that point). So he literally did it for his kids.

A real pity that this movies script was just bad.
He deserved better than for Street Fighter to be his last movie.
He intentionally chose it because his kids really liked the game. He didn’t know what it was about, but he wanted to leave legacy of a fun movie to his children when he was gone (he had already known the diagnosis at that point).
So he literally did it for his kids.
Oof, I never knew that.
And to be CGI’d in it after his death, no less!
