This concludes the horse track arc. When I find another good theme I’ll share with you all. It’s been fun!
I read this differently than others in the comments:
This just shows Everett walking away. He doesn’t need tons of money, let alone ill gotten gains from money that he had borrowed or stolen to use.
This is Everett saying “fuck off.”
I saw it this way too. Money is important for stability which is why he looks so glum, instead of taking the payout of a lifetime he did the right thing in his eyes and walked away. I know I would have a lot of conflicted feelings if I were in his shoes.
I read it as Everett made a killing, then had to leave town real quick.
Although suppose another read might be he took the bet, was scammed/misinformed, then couldn’t even afford a train ticket home.
The cow looks so sad for him.
What happened? Was he scammed? I kinda thought Everett would somehow make the fixing stop by hitting someone on the head, not be taken in by a dishonest bet…
And now he’s walking back along the train tracks, hoping to be splattered by a locomotive.
Quite sad.
Is that a chunk of ginger taped to his back???
It’s a belt?
Today I continued to learn that humans are cruel. Gonna go cry now
It’s like we keep finding ways to not understand animals.
You’ve ruined my day
wtf. Humans, man.
It’s an onion, which was the style at the time.
It’s a bit different from his typical “hit people who bug him” style, but I enjoyed this arc. Thanks!
Maybe this is his origin story.
He definitely looked like a come-on or a rube.
Rare slip up from Ev
He also slips up every time he enrages his wife.
Maybe walking along the tracks is Everetts’ standard trick to hide his prints after he’s disposed of another body
I think this is the most serious one I’ve seen.
