I feels less like a guilty pleasure and more like real, substantial communication – with, as you say, context and the possibility to develop longer thoughts. I know that there’s the possibility of some kind of thematic groups on Mastodon, but I don’t really understand that fully yet.
It also seems to me that there’s more communication between people who don’t know each other. On Mastodon, I rather stick to the people I already know and rarely start a conversation with strangers, but I feel like over here, this is the default. Or is it?
