      Dude if someone told me this was a modded Seiko 5 with a “tourbillion” movement in it I would 100% believe it.

          It’s essentially a fancy watch spring mechanism. So the open spot on the bottom of the dial is the tourbillion as it unwinds it rotates around.

              Generally yes, like the other reply said it might be automatic and self winding. It’s a style of mechanical watch though so something somehow has to tension the spring that makes the watch run.
