Tankies aren’t leftists and conservatives are not the opposite of liberals. Conservatives oppose progressives, liberals include conservatives and progressives. The DNC and GOP both have a lot of conservatives in their ranks. The GOP has fascism and bigots and the DNC has social democrats and (probably some stealthed) democratic socialists.

I think the problem he’s referring to is that some people are naming every small racist prick a nazi and that that devalues the meaning of the word.
