Getting told by carnists that you need meat for iron when pre-veganism I was anemic and now I’m not ¯_(ツ)_/¯
What do you eat that’s high in iron?
Not that poster. I also had the same change.
from memory vit C enhances absorption while calcium competes. So not having excessive calcium with many meals probably helps a lot with uptake, plus basically every vegan meal has stupid amounts of vitamin C.
I eat a lot of lentils, beans, and oats. I think they’re all pretty reasonable on iron content.
Sesame seeds, soya, and figs are also pretty high in iron.

Yeah lol the price is a joke, I buy them maybe once a month but they are good for iron.
Can’t eat steak if you’re too poor to afford meat in general 🧠
