I think there are some good arguments about what counts as an ethnic cleansing when the population is entirely homogenous.
Is what Russia doing to the Ukraine an ethnic cleansing, considering their lack of diversity? What about the lack of diversity in Gaza? Turns into a semantic argument, really.
Not sure I understand. Wouldn’t a clear ethnic majority in an area being removed to make way for a minority only make ethnic cleansing more apparent than the reverse?
Yes, absolutely.
What I’m saying is that the laws of what is considered genocide become blurry depending on how diverse that area is.
