Who knows what hardships the sympathizer has faced that makes them sell out. They’re not a disease, they’re a symptom.

When you’re on day 3 of no food, there’s not much you won’t do for a bite. Keeping food in your family’s mouths is a small price to pay for indifference to people you’ve never met before.
And yet this quote places blame on some of the oppressed rather than the oppressor. Who knows what hardships the sympathizer has faced that makes them sell out. They’re not a disease, they’re a symptom.
