Mid-80’s and mom was appalled at the notion of a $30 Swatch when a Timex could be had for $10. No Swatch. ☹ Woke up one Saturday morning, decided I was fucking 50-yo and I could buy a damned Swatch if I wanted to! Bought TWO! Truly realizing you’re an adult is quite freeing. :)
