    Surely this can’t be caused by the biggest economies in the world relying on “clean” natural gas (that is, 99% methane) instead of “dirty” coal… Right?

      Not from burning it, no.

      From Oil and gas companies not maintaining their pipelines and it leaking during transit, yes.

      Biggest emissions in the US are around fracking sites.
