You can still get disc versions of the PS5 and most recent Xbox, and the Switch has cartridge options for most games worth a damn so idk wtf you’re talking about.
I don’t consider the steamdeck a console. There are multiple options to install there anyway.
But those disc games still need to check validity with psn or not?
No, disc games can be played offline, the main issue is that without PSN you will be stuck in the unplayable buggy mess that most current games are on release day.
And already installed digital releases will not work?
Not if you get locked out of your PSN account, no.
That would depend on how you notice it. If by sheer luck you notice through something like the Playstation app on your phone and make sure you turn the console on offline they will still work.
Havent had the luck, i saw it as i finished no mans sky.
Getting more old and progressing to being a casuall gamer so much that some titles im enjoying just now, i see that ill either sell the ps5 for a pc or steam deck. I guess this was my lesson.
