My second read-through now and I’m loving them even more this time!

With the new Netflix season coming up I’m diving back in to the Witcher world (and loving every second of it!!)

Just started out on the first season of the show, only having played Witcher 3 before and not knowing much about the universe. I heard that only the first season or two are worth watching and considered looking into the first book if I get the chance. What would you recommend?

Honestly the Netflix series does certain damage to the books. It’s a poor representation of the amazing universe that was created. I’ll be crucified by saying so, but I’d start with Blood of Elves.

Actually, check out the audiobook if you can, I know they’re on YouTube. The narrator is absolutely amazing with what he does: Peter Kenny.

The Netflix series is lacking indeed. To much big scope political stuff as if they were trying to be Game of Thrones or something. The relationships and moral explorations are the emotional core, at least for me. I miss the humor and wit of the books and the monsters from the game

I need to get back to them, but I have soo many other books that are also demanding my attention. I think I’ve read 3 or 4 of them but I dont remember which ones
