Chatmonchy [Wash the Livehouse] Live at : Zepp Tokyo 2009"恋の煙 (Koi no Kemuri)"single : 恋の煙 (Koi no Kemuri)label : Ki/oon Music Inc.1 March 2006*Official webs...
One of my favorite songs from Chatmonchy. I believe it was also the first song I’ve heard from them.
Most of the Chatmonchy discography should also be here on YouTube. They have a lot of different songs. I’m sure that there is something you may like :)
IMHO, Chatmonchy didn’t consist of people who could not only write and play good music but rather talented musicians that did know how to play multiple different instruments. After Kumiko (the drummer until 2011) left the band, Akiko (bass) and Eriko (guitar) continued without any support musicians. Akiko played bass, drums and piano. Eriko played guitar, drums and piano as well.
For some songs, they recorded one guitar part and played that in the background. So they sounded not like a two-piece band. You can see what I mean here where they played Konbini Honeymoon.
They played an entire concert “Henshin TOUR '13 @ Zepp DiverCity” (which was released on Bluray) with this formation. I find this amazing.
Later, they did have support guitarists, support drummers and a support pianist. This can be seen at the Budokan concert held in 2015. They played some songs with two drummers! How cool is that?
Sorry for the rambling. I hope you understand what mean, I’m tired so my english is a bit janky.
Not rambling at all, really interesting! This is the kind of content I would love to see more of in this community. I will definitely check out the songs you linked!
