It feels like there are two types of productions since Covid… $200m+ epic productions, or Netflix style lazy cookie cut crap. I hope one day we go full circle and resurrect some forgotten genres that just don’t get funded anymore
Apparently there is some general ish rule which explains this phenomenon, where in any industry you’ll get an effect of missing middle in the market.
With parts of producers being dragged towards either low margin high volume or high margin low volume.
