If that’s true Israel is way beyond self defense at this point. Not that I like Hamas, on the contrary. But even in war there are laws. I don’t expect Hamas to adhere to these laws (they are terrorists after all) but I sure as fuck expect the IDF to.
On one hand I can’t tell Russia or Israel apart in the headlines anymore. On the other hand polls state that Palestinians want this to happen by their support of their Government causing this?
Do you think the Gaza government caused this mass killing of Palestinians?
How can you say it didn’t? Hamas spent a ton of money and resources to build underground tunnels with bunker doors etc. they just “forgot” to build anything for their own people. They also didn’t spend the money on hospitals or education or anything else. But bought weapons instead.
Civilian deaths and the connected media attention is their whole war tactic. Do you really believe they didn’t know Israel would shoot back? No, they counted on it.
