Wanted to see if people were interested in a weekly post about what people are using or seeing while climbing ranked.
I’m currently playing Rampardos/Lucario/Marshadow since I don’t have a 2nd lycanroc yet and have had pretty good success.
Had some luck with meowscarada decks but was seeing a lot of fire decks so went away from it.
Seen Solgaleo used a decent amount and I tried it out a bit but didn’t like it as much.
I only have one Solgaleo EX but I have been really enjoying that plus Skarm.
It sort of feels like Pikachu EX [GA] but less reliant on X Speed and a full bench.

Yeah being able to hit for 130 on your 2nd turn if you get the right draw is crazy. Only downside with the deck really is drawing the fossils since pokeball doesn’t work.
Meowscarada Decidueye ex is nice with rare candy
Solgaleo sounds really good but I haven’t faced it yet. I always take a while to learn the patterns of the new decks that get introduced, so I’m frequently getting smashed right now. And also by most stage 2 cards, since they’ve all got a buff with rare candy (except Magnezone).
I switched back to Solgaleo and won 6/7 games so can confirm it’s pretty good.
Yeah rare candy made stage 2s way mote viable and with it just being an item you can really pull off some crazy turns. Kind of feels like it should have been a supporter card instead with how powerful it is.
I’ve also been scuppered by Lillie, being able to heal 60 from a stage 2. Yeah, it may be too strong to be just an item, but if it is too strong, it will get balanced out somehow in a future update.
I’m still use a Blaine deck, which can still work, perhaps because it’s a bit obscure these days and people forget how it plays, but really the powercreep has left the deck behind and I need to find a new one. I like the look lf Solagleo, but I don’t have the cards yet.
Missing one Solgaleo has been really annoying for consistency for me. I’ve bricked my hand a few games and just gotten steamrolled when I don’t have a good ish starting hand.
