I would like to know what some of your favorite lanterns are. I am really wanting one for more of a night light type of setup, in my camper. It needs to be USB-C rechargeable as well.

My choice for said application is the LT1S (non-pro). There are a lot of Andruil enthusiasts out there, but I’m not one of them. The LT1s (non-pro) has an easy UI that is simple to learn and does everything you could want. Some of the reviews of the LT1s pro aren’t very flattering in terms of output and PWM.

I agree, anduril is powerful but also complex. I still have to get out the UI chart when I want to do something other than on/off or ramping up or down. I got the regular LT1S without anduril and I’m very happy with that choice, a lantern shouldn’t be that complicated.

If you want to go professional, there isn’t much choice. Either The Sofirn/BLF LT1 or the smaller Sofirn LT1S Pro. Both have the Anduril operating system with a very complex, but also very powerful UI, they have adjustable color temperature and brightness – both either stepped or smooth – and the LT1S Pro even has a red channel!
