Who could know that refusing to patch critical bugs or, for that matter, to put any effort at all into software while constantly raising product prices would piss off the customers? It’s a mistery!

From the introduction of the article above: „Samsung blames the decline in smartphone shipments for its financial troubles. Samsung is hoping the launch of its foldables will help level out these losses for the second half of the year.“

or, for that matter, to put any effort at all into software

This makes no sense. Samsung are basically the biggest innovators in mobile software. Every big feature that google eventually adds to Android was in Samsung phones 5 years ago.

Please go and use that Samsung software. Then you might want to reevaluate your statement. They are notorious for delivering good hardware with half baked software.

Just google “Samsung good hardware bad software” or something like that. You will get a significant number of results. For me, the number one annoyance was when the blueborne vulnerability was discovered and their only advice was to turn off bluetooth. Months passed before they patched it, and that was when they lost me.

              That’s not “half baked” though.

I’m not googling that because that’s just going to give a bunch of people parroting what you said without giving any actual examples. What Samsung software is half baked?

Yeah sure, I totally understand. I will just compile an essay on the matter and pass it to your office so you don’t have to google it.
