Larian’s Swen Vincke posted a tweet yesterday showing the game hitting 500,000 concurrent players, making it the third most played game on all of Steam He said that he told IT to only expect 100,000 concurrents at max.
BG3 feels different though. I mean it’s obvious that DnD was not designed for video games. Bit hard to describe, but I feel like DOS2 combat is more tactical or rather the tactical aspect is not in the combat itself, but in the management of an individual character (spell slots, health potions and so on)
DOS2 is my favorite RPG ever. The game uses tactics and positioning far better than any other RPG I’ve tried.
