Local, county, and state police do not enforce federal law. It’s a simple matter of jurisdiction. Except now, in slave states, they “assist” federal agents with enforcing “immigration law.”

Sanctuary cities (and states!) have policies which “[limit or define] the extent to which a local/state government will share information with federal immigration law officers.”

The entire reason so many states have legal cannabis while it’s still a federal crime is because those same officers don’t enforce federal law, but federal agents can still raid cannabis stores anywhere at any time, and try people in federal court.

I wouldn’t say that at all. They’ll levy charges and prosecute, whether those charges make any sense is irrelevant. They’ll drag people through the courts as punishment and as extortion, even if they’re ultimately acquitted. They can also file charges in a friendly federal district, where they’re more likely to get a judge or jury who bends to their will.

Don’t forget that they’re already threatening judges, too. None of this happens in a vacuum. This shit stacks.
