I have no idea why anyone would want a shittier PC with a tinier screen to play their steam library. It seems totally pointless to me. The only people I know who seem to rave about them are dads who can’t get away to game except in half hour increments on the couch. I guess that’s better than nothing, but fuck, that’s a bleak gaming experience.

Its a portable handheld, it’s not meant to be a replacement for a pc. You could use it for playing games on a commute or during your lunch break. Nothing wrong with using it on the couch either, sometimes you want to be outside of your room.

Totally agree. I have bought it as an extension to my gaming PC sitting in the office room to casually game on the couch while my wife plays with her switch on the TV.

Last few months I had to travel a lot and Deck was a real good companion. I am now in Bali, playing some races after swimming, sometimes starting Unity to implement some features to my hobby game project or Netflix on the hotel room’s TV.

Also, when I was visiting my brother (4-5h with train) with a friend, we could play some matches in the train and after that some Tekken and FIFA at my brother’s house and his TV (my friend wanted to bring his PS5 with him). It had no problems with the resolution and could deliver 60fps without stuttering. I love this thing!
