Rewatching The Expanse for the nth time. It always cracks me up to see Bobby Draper stuffing those cucumber sandwiches into her face. Do you want some?

Makes sense, in context.
Cucumbers require a lot of water to grow. Bobbie’s a Martian where water isn’t plentiful, so cucumbers would be extremely luxurious there.
I always thought that bit with her and the sandwiches was a nice touch.
I’ve been reading through the books and I’m astounded by just how well the authors have thought through the little details.
I’m also even more impressed with the adaptation to TV now that I’ve read them. The only thing they weren’t able to adapt was the difference in tone and mindset between the perspective characters.
Almost done with the Inaros books, looking forward to the unadapted books.
I’ve been interested in reading the books, but I’m a little weirded out by the tag-team approach by two authors. Would you say that this is noticeable, or that they maintain a consistent quality no matter who is doing the writing?
(Please sell me on reading these.)
I’ve read all nine and I can’t say that I noticed any real differences between the two.
Each chapter in the books is written from a specific character’s perspective. From what I understand, each of the characters was written consistently by one author or the other. So, for instance, all the Naomi chapters would be written by the same person. They may not have stuck 100% to that, but I think that’s how they tried to fit things together.
Thanks!
We only know it’s two people because we’ve been told it is. If we’d not been told, there’s nothing to make you think otherwise.
It’s those little attentions to detail that have spoiled just about all other scifi for me. Another is Mei’s backpack with the 3D dinosaurs. So many little details that other shows would miss. I love it.
