In Crownbound, you are the ruler of a growing fantasy kingdom, but your heroes have a mind of their own! Unlike traditional RTS games, you cannot command your units directly. Instead, you must influence them through spells, rewards, and strategic kingdom management.

Indirect management/influencing of typical video game protagonists in a city builder is one of my favorite subgenres.

Ooh, I have this one for being a cool in-depth micromanagement city builder, didn’t realize it also was an automation game. A friend with similar game tastes to mine gives it high reviews.

Also didn’t know about the AI art, though, and I’ve already bought it, so oof.

No, sorry. I do see Android has access to the Good Pizza, Great Pizza series of games but have no idea if those quality games are controller support.

Would bet Android has both Minecraft and controller support for it, and maybe the Minecraft competitor Minetest/Luanti is on Android and has that too. That’s all I can provide.

You probably switched it off in Settings or don’t play Campaigns.

Ended up bouncing off for some reason I can’t even describe. I can say it was less of an “absolutely not!” thing and more of a “hm this isn’t really as fun as I thought it would be and the games I already have provide more fun” thing. And I was so excited to really like the game, too.

I will say being able to follow the vehicles, both from the driver’s view (you can honk the horn! With a horse-drawn carriage the button to honk produces a neigh!) and from a third person view, was cool though. And mousing over people and finding they had NAMES was very unexpected and a pleasant surprise.

I remember Hades crediting the devs’ dogs for making the dog sounds that are in the game. I wonder if anyone ever credited the horse that made the sound effect for this game.

So I opened up the game for the very first time today before being called away to work before I could finish the tutorial or really get any impression of the game, besides: I was not expecting Transport Fever 2 to have voice acting.

Is this a metaphor I do not understand? Seems like you might have accidentally posted in the wrong community if not.

Was pretty fun for me, cute and short. Always happy to see Fediverse devs posting on Lemmy!

I guess there are two ways to play Tiny Garden: You can go into it and try to make the most beautiful garden with the items that unlock for you. This will give you many hours of laid-back gardening fun.

You can approach this game by planting your garden strategically, trying to unlock the next plant and find the new combination that adds new kinds of goals. I am firmly in the last category and truly love it.

The reviewer is just like me and I’m so here for that. The fact you garden in some bauble and get letters from its previous owners that form the narrative… also sounds interesting. Gardening is super not my thing but the game sounds cool enough to make me check it out anyways.
