Ditto. I’ve managed to snag a few photos of birds on/near our feeder from a very close distance. The fine details are pretty amazing.
Last month while I was walking home I saw a couple of mourning doves at the “mostly walk around but fly if I really have to” fledgling stage, and they were so stinkin cute 🥹
Haha, the way you summarized their behavior is spot on. “Do I really have to fly here or can I keep walking?”
Mine are still plotting my death, so I’ll skip getting that close to them.
