He supported Biden last time.

That’s right. Dictators are supporting other dictators. As Putin said, Biden and Harris share their values.

BBC News, Moscow 9 November 2016 Deputies in Russia’s parliament broke into applause at the news Donald Trump had been elected US president.

Vladimir Putin wasted no time sending his congratulations and state TV channels switched quickly from claims of fraud, to hailing the triumph of the “man of the people”.

        Hmm.

I’m not saying I disagree with you, but Putin was also positive about the other guy too. And as shitty as the democrats are, the other guy is not a better choice in my opinion.

Edit: and in addition to that, I recall Don calling Putin “genius” and “savvy” so it seems he has some admiration for someone who shares values with Biden and Harris?

Or is he just trying to mend bridges? Our Overtly hostile attitude towards North Korea and Russia have done nothing to make the world a safer place.

Reagan hung out with Soviet leaders and took them to the ranch. He talked to them and ended the Cold War.

That’s what Trump was trying to do. Get Korea to come to the table.

Man, if you think inviting Gorbachev to the ranch for a bar-b-q is what ended the cold war you are fooling yourself.

Harris is Biden 2.0, which makes her predictable. Trump has a greater tendency to ignore his staffers, and advisors who are part of the Deep State. Putin can’t predict a Trump administration with the same confidence. Putin understands Trump is a minor outlier inside US foreign policy, which is contolled by the establishment. For example, look at the Wikipedia resume of a guy like Bill Burns who has worked under many presidents.

That is the interesting part and has been brought up before. Trump is more unpredictable which means people are less likely to test him.

In Syria, Wagner troops screwed with American troops, historically be backed down from those fights. Trump didn’t and left several hundred dead. Russia wasn’t expecting that results.
