Hummelgaard’s push to block encrypted apps like Telegram, Signal, and WhatsApp reveals the hypocrisy at the heart of this attack—especially when those in power, including Hummelgaard himself, use these very tools for their private communications.

This move isn’t about protecting the public; it’s about expanding the reach of mass surveillance, silencing dissent, and tightening the grip of censorship. Something more and more companies are doing as well.
