    It all depends on the task you are currently doing and how good your managers are. A good one can understand the need to have a quiet time to concentrate on the task, and another will insists of micromanage you to death. Worked with both types.

      I’d say it also depends on code quality. If you have readable, decoupled code you won’t need two hours to build arches in your head (or at least much less often). You probably still won’t be able to get back to 100% productivity at once, but it’s a difference if you lose two hours or ten minutes.
