If you’re taking it for its intended purpose (treating your ADHD) likely you’re getting a completely different experience anyway lol.

ADHD drugs are weird. They help treat ADHD’s symptoms well. However, they seem to induce something similar in normal brains.

Unfortunately, they don’t give you motivation, they just make it easier to apply your motivation. Combined that with the loss of appetite and hyper focus can get impressive.

ADHD drugs plus ADHD means that I am bad about eating when I start to focus. When it’s really necessary, I prefer it because food slows me down, but for normal days it’s not ideal.

I try to look at my work from a peak performance viewpoint. When I start making mistakes or getting sloppy is when I pause and take stock. I know Im running low on something cuz =output; be that food, water, meds, sleep, moving, coffee, nofx, w/e. Sometimes I just need to switch up projects.

If I’m home I tend to work on something til frustration, completion or a save point. To change gears I’ll do something physical (right now I’m hand tilling the 500ft² garden) that preferably works towards a larger goal. Most yard work I do like this, as a form of walking meditation. Shaking the etch-a-sketch both mentally and physically.

Just some tips, take em or leave em, you do you boo.

I would love to hand till a giant garden! I bet that’s perfect- raking leaves has always been the best study break for me.

For better or worse, when I start to make mistakes, that breaks my flow and I automatically take a break. Luckily, I do drink a lot of water, so I eventually have to take a break to refill the bottle, which sometimes even reminds me to pee lol
