I designed and 3D-printed custom resource trays for Terraforming Mars! They come with little trays for the resources and dials to indicate the gain per generation. I love scifi and terraforming mars is a nice departure from the typically fantasy themed boardgames

I like the triple trays. Those look really nice. What kind of printer are you using? I am asking to see if it would make sense to ask my friend to print me one or two of those.

I am using a Prusa mk3+ but any 3D printer should be able to these. I print the first few layers in some color pla before switching to black. The model is made in Blender and is 10cmx10cmx2cm

Very cool. I use the ones that came with the big box (and actually bought metal cubes too), but this is a great idea.

EDIT: from the pic I gather the trays you’re referring to are actually the player board resource holders, not the communal cube holders. Very cool.

Have been meaning to 3D print some holders for the player boards. I was dumb and didn’t opt for the dual layer ones.

Glad to see some other fans of Terraforming Mars! I think it’s my favorite game (although I probably haven’t played as many as some other folks have)

Yep, its about the player boards :) I did not like stacking cubes and thought that dials work much better.

The resource trays we use for all our games. I made them in all the major colors and with 1,2,3 and 4 compartments
