Ah my bad. I assumed it was that case. In pentathlon they get assigned a horse that they don’t know and need to perform more or less with a stranger. There was a case of an athlete whipping that horse like crazy last Olympic because it wouldn’t do what she wanted
This just reminded me that there’s an amusement park near where I grew up where back in like the twenties and '30s and stuff, the idea of entertainment was to force a horse to run up a giant ramp out above a lake, maybe 50 feet up and have it jump into the water as a high diving horse.
I thought they removed the part with the horses since the pentathlon incident during the last olympics
I’m not sure it’s possible to remove the horses from the competitive horse dancing event.

Horse diving, it’s still a thing just extremely uncommon and highly defended but the like 5 people that still do it.
