I am in NE Tassie, cycled past 2 dead wombats and horrifically a dead quoll the other day (and the always endless dead possums and wallibies) all road kill ;( tje first time i had seen a quoll road kill.
On the plus side the big witer storms we had months ago closed a back road over the mountain near me (trees down) but it can be cycled as somone has cut parts of the trees away, we were cycling through the other day and a quoll appeared on the trial in front of me before ducking back ito the bush but if couse the eurpohoria wears off after another km or two, theres near endless native forest logging and horrific destruction :(
I hope the one I saw wasn’t the one dead on the road 2 days later only 2km away :(
