    If any politician came to my city and said it was a shithole during a speech, I’d not be offended and would totally agree. This city is a shithole.

    Be different if they insulted the people of the city, though.

      Do you not understand that it is the people that make any city shit hole? Like, it can’t be blamed on the buildings, the landscape, or the economy. A city isn’t a place, it’s the people. When someone says a city is a shit hole, they ARE insulting the people.

      I’d be offended depending on the city. Detroit has had its issues but it’s not the Detroit it was 20 years ago. Calling it a shithole is basically saying “I know your city is infamous but I don’t care enough to find out if that’s true. Also, it’s one thing if Vance or Walz does it, but Harris and Trump are lifelong coastal. Giving Michigan shit is a Midwest thing
